PHOEBUS DE CHATEAUPERS, The Captain of the Guards - Vain, arrogant, with a shrewd eye for his own advancement in the military, Phoebus is an opportunistic golden boy, the epitome of blond egotism. He has all the striking good looks, strength and courage to inspire the admiration of his men and the utter devotion of many women, Esmeralda included. GUY BOGAR, has performed several supporting roles for Seattle Opera, including three full seasons with the chorus. Musical theatre credits include Tony in West Side Story, HMS Pinafore, Curly in Oklahoma, Cornelius in Hello Dolly!, Dick in Dames at Sea and Jesus Christ Superstar and The Desert Song at The 5th Avenue Theatre. He studied opera for eight years and holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Washington, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1996.
